According to Maison de la France (French Government Tourist) there are about 78 million foreign people travel to France in 2006 (+ 3% compared to 2005). So don’t be surprised to know that from 60 million people live in France, about 2 million of them are employed in hotels, bars, restaurants, cafes and other entities supported by tourists. France is indeed the number one tourist destination in the world.
France could mean anything for anyone. French is romantic, a taste of love, full of dramatic history, elegant foods and wine; literally French has everything you can think of!
Besides visiting the 1000 feet tall Eiffel Tower, the highest mountain in Western Europe Mont Blanc, Brittany Coastline, or admiring Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa at the largest museums in the world Louvre Museum, you could experience quite a lot of memorable moments if you’re planning to travel to france this July. One of the most unique sporting attractions in the world, Tour de France, will be held on next July. Starting in Strasbourg and ending in Paris 2,261 miles later, this will surely be a huge event that attracts legions of tourist line up along the route to support their countrymen.
You could also see the Bastille Day, France’s independence day at July 14. It is to celebrate the French Revolution back in 1789 where the citizens of France stormed the Bastille and the eventual dethroning of the monarchy.
Languedoc, which borders Spain and Andorra, along with the Mediterranean sea, is one place you don’t want to missed while you’re there. It is one of the most popular areas in France. Cévennes National Park, many fine wines, and beautiful villages are some of things you would expect when you visit Languedoc.
